1. Cabaze Clava, or nail head. A decoration of the outer walls of Chavin de Huantar. The last of its kind to stay in place. Art and religion combined.
2. Lanzon de Chavin, the monolithic lance 4,5 metres high. On it was carved dieties and monsters. It was the supreme diety in Chavin de Huantar.
3. A Moche ceramic vessel. The ribs emphasize a skeletal appearance. The Moche was belived to have belived death is a necessary process of new life.
4. An 18+ Moche pottery vessel featuring entertainment purposes. Enough said.
5. A Moche Nosepiece. Jewellery purposes.
6. A Moche earflares. Jewllery purposes.
7. Moche gold backflap. Used in ceremonies (and wars sometimes) to protect the backside.
8 and 9 are both from the Nazcas in Peru. Different people think differently about the purposes of these geoglyphs, but they all serve religious purposes in general.
